Champions for Vaccine Education, Equity and Progress

Project Mission

Champions for Vaccine Education, Equity and Progress (CVEEP) was established to serve as a trusted source of information and a leader of discussions among organizations representing a variety of communities that face challenges from infectious respiratory illness, particularly diverse communities that have been most harmed by the effects of respiratory illness. CVEEP is committed to providing resources and raising awareness about the continued need for vaccination against infectious respiratory illnesses across the lifespan and the importance of treatments for those who are eligible.

Project Partners

Champions for Vaccine Education, Equity and Progress (CVEEP) is comprised of more than 250 organizations representing a broad range of communities and stakeholders including:

  • Diverse communities
  • Healthcare workers
  • Older Americans
  • Veterans
  • Scientists

Core Objectives

Open dialogue, engagement and effective communication is important to address the skepticism around vaccines that exists among many people and in many communities. Additionally, building confidence in the process and the science is key for authorized and approved vaccines to be a contributor to addressing health inequities that exist generally and specifically with respect to COVID-19. To achieve its mission, Champions for Vaccine Education, Equity and Progress seeks to:

Raise awareness about the importance of recommended vaccines and treatments in protecting individuals, families, and communities against infectious respiratory diseases

Drive conversations and provide resources that help ensure equitable access to vaccines and treatments through equitable access to information

Educate, advocate, and build trust in the FDA’s gold standard regulatory review process
